HARSH AND DELIBERATE

A Study on Selective Lighting

Harsh and Deliberate studies the powerful effect lighting can have depending on where it is shone. Focusing on different areas of the portrait in each photo, Harsh and Deliberate took immense thought in order to produce every photo with the intent of guiding the viewer’s eye with a purpose, banishing every other part of the portrait into the shadows. Deliberate photography is photography taken with a sharp intent and message; Harsh and Deliberate interprets this deliberateness into sharp strokes of light, with each photo conveying a different view for the viewer.
